Journal Entries / Italy 2011- July 24-25

I am a bit uncomfortable again, this time I'm stuck up with fiberglass everywhere.  Yesterday was an intense day of training...  We learned our dramas and of course, they cast me for practically the main part...  It's going to be a powerful ministry tool and I'm confident we will see salvations.

As I write this I'm on the bus heading to the airport!  Today we leave for ITALY!

The training has been rather intense and so I feel like a soldier prepped for battle.  I did experience something strange for my standards last night...

They preached a Holy Spirit sermon last night, to which of course, I was a bit skeptical sitting through.  However during the entire service I was hit with a massive allergy attack.  My nose had completely swelled shut, and my eyes would barely stay open...  Anyway, after sneezing every other second for about and hour and a half, they asked if anyone had any sickness or ailment they wished to be healed of.  So, I thought of the man born blind and figured this allergy attack was just a way that God's glory could be made manifest.  So as I stood, my group of missionaries and project directors laid hands on me and asked what ailed me.  I told them my nose and as they began to pray over me, I felt the swelling slowly discipate and begin to drain and clear and within 2 minutes I was able to breathe again...  I ran up to the stage and in disbelief gave my testimony of what happened.  As bad as the heat, dust, and rolling around in the dirt and fiberglass all day was, it's a miracle I didn't just drop dead in the first place!

My eyes have been opened to healing and I am ready to pray in Jesus name, over the sick and have faith that they may be healed by the power of God.  My faith has been built...  No longer can I use healing as just an instrument for recruiting people into easy believism.  It's real!

Oh yeah!  I also was selected as a missionary advisor!  The leaders saw responsbility, energy, encouragement, and maturity (somehow) as an overall quality to my leadership potential.  I am honored...  And kinda nervous, but I have an awesome missionary group.  Rhett, Justin, and Ronnie.  Rhett and Justin were also MA candidates and we endured training together.  So we are going to have a SOLID group!  We will lead each other...  Anyway I should get into my Word...  Next stop Italy!
